Music of Aziz Shabani

This website is devoted to Mr. Aziz Shabani, an Iranian master musician, teacher, and author who has been a tireless teacher of music for more than 60 years. He has written 30 books about theory of music, musical instruments, and history of music. He has composed more than 50 pieces of Persian folk music, especially Azarbiejani music.

We are a group of Iranian immigrants to the United States who decided to develop and devote this website as an indication of our appreciation to Mr. Shabani whom we consider as our “father figure” because of his kind heart, his genuine concern about us, and his unconditional love to human race.

We hope that Mr. Shabani’s significant and lasting role in Iranian music education and academia, his contribution to the literature and practice of music, and his service to Persian music culture can be appropriately recognized by visitors of this website.
